Let’s picture a scenario that after years of playing PS3, you buy a second-hand PS4 console along with its accessories, for example, the DS4 controller, it is all fun and excitement until you get to know that your PS4 controller is not working for some reason, what will be your next move? Most probably, you will try connecting your PS3 controller to your PS4. I know the controller does actually have analog triggers because they work in the PS3(as an analog input) ex.Final word Can you use PS3 controller on PS4 console? The generic driver that windows forcefully installs Doesn't see the triggers as analog inputs and i cannot find a compatible driver that does. And yes i have already tried installing the DS3 motionjoy drivers but it came up with an incompatable driver message. My problem is that DS3 tools wont see the controller and xpadder doesnt see the analog triggers. I have gotten other PS3 controllers to work and emulate XBOX 360 controllers but this one isn't actually recognized as a 'PLAYSTATION(R) 3 controller' instead its recognized as 'wierless controller for ps3' I was excited when i plugged in the usb dongle into the PC and the controller actually worked after a generic driver install! but after a quick attempt to emulate a xbox 360 controller i realized that the analog triggers were only recognized as a digital button I have a wireless afterglow ps3 controller that i wanted to use as a PC controller. I would really appreciate if someone could help me I'm getting really frustrated trying to figure this out on my own and usually I'm pretty good at that. I don't know if this will help but my cpu is the i7 4790k on the z97-p board, 16gb ram and a 4gb gtx 770. I went back to Gamestop returned it and bought the Afterglow 360 wired controller after reading that that one should definitely work and I still can't get it to work. Anyways, I bought a gamestop branded wired xbox 360 controller and even after installing the drivers and reading a bunch of forums I couldn't figure it out. I started playing Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor a couple of days ago and I'm enjoying it as much as I can but I suffer from a condition called stupid fingers.
I'm new to gaming on PC but I've had my first really good computer for just over two months now.
